Hello, Hilton Head! - October 2011

We were lucky to be able to take our first real vacation in I don't know how long to Hilton Head Island in October.  It was the first time we went to the beach since our honeymoon and the first time Audrey was ever on the beach.  Very close family friends go to Hilton Head each year and my parents actually spent a month there last October with them.  They had a blast.  The plan was for them to go again this year.  My dad still wanted to go after my mom died so I offered to go with him (a real sacrifice on my part, I know!).  It just so happened that Bill was able to schedule to take the time off too so a family vacation it would be!  We went for a week and stayed right on the beach.  It was a tad windy most days but we all had so much fun and Audrey got to go in the ocean.

The trusted adults in the house allowed Bill and I to go out for dinner a few times alone while they watched Audrey.  Date night!
