The morning started off with breakfast and bike decorating in preparation for the kids' bike parade. Last year, Audrey was too small to pedal so I had to push but this year, she did it (mostly) on her own.
And they're off!
See the stroller in the background? That's Vivian! She was never far away and had lots of admirers throughout the day. :)
For the next few hours and throughout the afternoon, we enjoyed face painting, bounce houses, a visit from the local firehouse with their fire truck, a keg for the adults, a wooden roller coaster (we didn't get a picture because it was running during nap time) and lots of other fun kid games.
Audrey could have jumped on this thing all day long - she loved it. Check out the hair!
Here she is!!
Tinkerbell tattoo! She got a Cinderella one on her other arm and was all tatted up and looking tough. ;)
I LOVE this picture of us!
Audrey's first time getting her face painted. This was supposed to be a full face tattoo but the girls realized just how hard (and time consuming) painting faces was and the parents realized how wet and runny the paint was. We opted for a smaller freehand butterfly instead.
One of the pics from the above photo session.
The aforementioned keg - set up directly in front of our house. Too convenient! It also doesn't hurt that our neighbor is a national account manager for Sierra Nevada.
Look how small she is up in this seat!
One of the biggest bounce houses I'd ever seen, complete with a maze and a slide inside. Audrey was too afraid to go in and I didn't blame her. She would have been tossed around like a rag doll with all of the big kids jumping.
Luckily, they set up another small one for the littles which, of course, Audrey loved.
We were telling her that we weren't going to let her out.
Our neighbors own a restaurant and catered in a huge spread of Greek and Indian food for dinner. YUM!
At night after the kiddies went to bed, the adults came back out to play cards, eat even more food and just relax and hang out. It was an exhausting but really fun day and Audrey had a blast.
