Cinco de MAYo

Can you even believe it's May already??  Audrey is 5 months old!  Crazy.  More importantly, today is Bill's birthday!!!  Happy Birthday babe!  And a very Happy Birthday to another little one in our family, Meryl, who is my cousin Elaine's daughter.  Cheers all around!

Things have been getting a little noisier at our house lately.  It seems that Audrey is finding her voice....I think this comes from the Tabayoyong side or mine when politics come up.  She's always been a "talker" - babbling away and cooing - but she's now taking it to a whole new level of LOUD.  Nothing like getting woken up at 6:15am to a little girl yelling nonsense.  It's getting earlier and earlier too because I think the sun wakes her up.  We have wooden blinds on her window but I'm thinking of putting a curtain up just to get a few more minutes of shut eye.  Here are some recent pics.  Gammy and Grandpa visited the other weekend and couldn't believe how much she'd changed!

Looking like I caught her doing something she shouldn't!

And finally, one of my favorites....

  1. oh my!!! the cuteness - how can you stand it? she is getting so big - crazy how fast time flies! as for babbling in the morning- black-out curtains work well. we also let elliot (and the boys when they were in cribs) lay there for as long as they were happy. once they get mad and start crying, then i would get my butt out of bed, but if they were happily jabbering, i would just drift in and out of sleep :) once she gets a little older (we didn't really start until they were around a year) if they cry ungodly early, we would give them 10 or 15 minutes. of course it depended on the type of cry. if they were still crying after that we would get them, but the majority of the times we would do this, they would be back to sleep in 10 minutes.
anyway, i've rambled long enough! elliot is actually in his crib wimpering, i guess i could get off of the computer and go get him :)
hope all is well and miss you!

About This Blog

Laura began this blog with the intention of someday chronicling our children's lives since our family is spread out from east coast to west. We wanted a way for family to get up-to-date news. Since we had no children at the time, it became a blog that followed our (her) foodie thoughts. Cooking, eating out and drinking wine are huge hobbies of ours so it only seemed fitting. Now that children are here we're going to attempt to meld the two together. You will notice "Foodies" and "Family" links at the top left of the page underneath the header photos. Use these links to focus in on the entries you want to read and bypass the others. We hope you enjoy.
