Vivian's Baptism

This past Sunday we finally had Vivian Baptized.  At least we got it in before she turned 1!
We had asked Bill's cousin Cy and his wife Christina to be her Godparents and we were so excited that Christina was able to fly out from California to join us.  Cy had to stay back to manage their kids' crazy schedules.
Picking up Christina at the airport:
My Dad, Bill's parents, Elaine and Mark (Grandma B and Mr. B) and my aunt and uncle also joined us at the church for the ceremony.  Even though we all had cameras, we sadly didn't take too many pictures.
Grandma B and Audrey
Grandpa and the girls. We were trying to recreate a photo of the three of them from when Vivian was only a few days old.  I still can't figure out our camera's lighting so I'm adding both!
Vivian getting the water poured over her head:
Christina drapping the cloth over Vivian's chest:
 All done!
An hour or so later, we held her big 1st birthday luau!  I'm still working on those pictures but I hope to get them up soon!

About This Blog

Laura began this blog with the intention of someday chronicling our children's lives since our family is spread out from east coast to west. We wanted a way for family to get up-to-date news. Since we had no children at the time, it became a blog that followed our (her) foodie thoughts. Cooking, eating out and drinking wine are huge hobbies of ours so it only seemed fitting. Now that children are here we're going to attempt to meld the two together. You will notice "Foodies" and "Family" links at the top left of the page underneath the header photos. Use these links to focus in on the entries you want to read and bypass the others. We hope you enjoy.
