Laura: The mom; juggler of all things daughters, home and work; Ohioan again. Life is a lot more hectic these days but she still tries to cook as much as possible and enjoy the finer things in life. She still loves her Buckeyes and Penn State and still won't apologize for it!
Bill:Amazing father and husband; pee pee doc; cigar aficionado. He never has enough time for golf or that perfect cigar and scotch but is okay with that as family time is everything. He says a gun may be in our future once boys come a knockin' - that or the threat of castration. Boys - you've been warned.
Audrey: Inquistive toddler; non-stop talker; memory like an elephant; peanut free; big sister. She tests our limits and her independence more and more each day. "Let me do it!" is her favorite phrase. Her future as a chef is already in the works as she's always bringing us her imaginary treats that she "cooked" for us to taste.
Vivian: Viv; Vivi; the Vivinator; tiny little one with freakishly long fingers and toes. She rarely cries but is quite the cuddler so you'll hear her if she's put down. She spends her days in mommy's arms and learning the ropes from Audrey. We're hoping she'll become Audrey's sous chef in due time.
Tigger: Fat Cat; tender hearted; a cat of the people. Tigger is the friendliest cat you will ever meet, although he loves to pick on his sister and littermate Belle, and he craves attention. Favorite foods include tuna juice and cat snacks. Currently his favorite sleeping spot is in Audrey's bed.
Belle: Tiny and timid; ultimate cuddler; mama's girl. Belle loves to run through the house and play with puff balls, toy mice and ribbon. She loves turkey, tuna juice and all fish. Her favorite sleeping spot is wrapped around Laura's neck when the spot isn't already taken by Audrey or Vivian.
About This Blog
Laura began this blog with the intention of someday chronicling our children's lives since our family is spread out from east coast to west. We wanted a way for family to get up-to-date news. Since we had no children at the time, it became a blog that followed our (her) foodie thoughts. Cooking, eating out and drinking wine are huge hobbies of ours so it only seemed fitting. Now that we have two beautiful girls, the foodies in us have taken a slight backseat but we still sneak in amazing meals when we can. You will notice "Foodies" and "Family" links at the top left of the page underneath the header photos. Use these links to focus in on the entries you want to read and bypass the others. We hope you enjoy.
The girls and I went to visit my dad a few weeks ago and Vivian got to go on a swing for the first time. She wasn't quite sure of it at first but was smiling by the end.
Investigating the neighborhood creek:
Audrey loves playing my dad's piano....looks like Vivian doesn't mind it either:
